Why Learn?
Bleeding injuries can occur anywhere. By learning STOP THE BLEED®, you transform from a bystander to a first responder capable of saving a life in emergencies.

 

What You Will Learn:

• How to apply pressure using your hands
• How to pack a wound to control bleeding
• How to correctly apply a tourniquet

 

Who Can Take the Course:
Anyone interested in lifesaving skills can enroll. The American College of Surgeons STOP THE BLEED® campaign has trained over 1 million people, including students, teachers, and community members.

 

STOP THE BLEED® can be added to any BLS or Heartsaver Provider course in Fairhaven, MA for $30 and will be completed following the American Heart Association courses.
