This program will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm-10pm and every Saturday from 8am-5pm for 8 weeks.
Saturdays will consist of lecture/practicals and will primarily be hands on learning. Students must have access to a laptop or tablet with internet connection.
Emergency Medical Techinicians provide out of hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system. EMTs have the basic knowlegde and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies. Emergency Medical Technicians perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. Emergency Medical Technicians are a critical link between the scene of an emergeny and the health care system.
