Firefighter
Paramedic
Keenan is a dedicated and motivated firefighter and paramedic. He began working as EMT basic and soon jumped into paramedic school. Keenan always performed well in his academic endeavors throughout EMT/Paramedic programs. He has continued his education where he is working toward his bachelors degree at Anna Maria College. He currently works full time as firefighter/paramedic with the City of New Bedford Fire Department and prior to that in the City of Melrose. His experience in both the municipal and private sector of EMS has truly allowed him to gain a great deal of experience to educate other students at a high level.
Teaching is a passion for Keenan. While working as a paramedic in New Bedford, Keenan was consistently taking paramedic students performing their ride time with New Bedford EMS. He went on to become an instructor in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and obtained his Instructor Coordinator (I/C) in 2014. He has experience teaching EMT basic programs where he was an I/C at a local EMS training school. While medical techniques and protocols are constantly changing, Keenan continues to stay on top by attending far more educational conferences per year than the state requires. Keenan’s goal is to deliver the highest quality of EMT training to prospective students in order for them to be well prepared for the real world.
As a paramedic with a strong passion for pre-hospital care, Keenan can continue his passion for educating prospective EMT’s to truly make a difference in the community.
